I'm Peter Torr Smith, and I'm keen to give your business a hand in boosting its online presence and information systems capabilities.

For the last 2 years I've been working for Catalyst IT, NZ's leader in Open Source solutions, and now I'm looking for a new challenge.  Catalyst is a great company with some of the smartest minds in software onboard, and I've learned so much about the "Open" world and how it could help many organisations and projects.  I've been project managing and/or doing business analysis and requirements design for a wide variety of website projects there, and am now available to help you and your team.  

I'm a great advocate for agile development, including agile analysis, and its associated practices, but know that agile doesn't mean "make it up as you go".  Good, appropriate and clear processes, standards, communication, culture and people are all required to get that powerful mix that delivers great products and outcomes and helps foster a happy and productive team.   As well as being a certified Scrum Master (agile), I'm also Prince2 Practitioner certified.  So from agile to formal, I understand the spectrum of project approaches and challenges.  Solution design, in terms of user experience and balancing business and user needs, is important on any software project, and I enjoy working with all involved in a project to keep this central.
